Beautiful antique wreath or wedding crown made of waxed flowers and orange blossoms.
It is surrounding a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with a flat back. 
The statue is signed on the side 'Salvatore Marchi'. He was a manufacturer of religious artefacts in the 19th century. His statues were from moulds and were generally in pipe clay. 
The statue and crown are attached to a velvet background and placed in an oval black painted wooden frame. Sadly, the original convex glass is missing.
The flowers show signs of age and have small damages as they are not behind a glass anymore.
They have some small parts missing and some cracks. The wax has dried and gone in places. Discolouration with time and exposure to dust. Some petals and blossoms are detached and some could fall during transit. The flowers are very fragile.
The fabric leaves have stains. The wire behind them has rusted.
The statue is in good condition for its age and only has minor imperfections. 
The velvet background has discoloured and faded with time and exposure to light.
The wooden frame has many imperfections such as scraches, scuffing, chips, stains and worn parts. It is made of two different pieces of wood. The paint is gone in small places.
Some paper is visible inside the frame all around.
The gold rim has lost its shine and is stained.
The black backing paper is worn but still there. We can see at the back two small bumps that are from the screws that attach the statue to the background. The statue moves easily.
Tears and creases on the paper.
Two loops on the sides with a string so the frame can be hung on the wall. There is also one small loop at the top.
This is a fantastic piece that carries traces of personal history and 19th century craftsmanship.

- I aim to post everything in 3 working days. Everything is sent with a tracking number.
Parcels will require a signature at the time of delivery.

- I will only ship to the address provided during checkout. I won't post to an address sent in a separate message after a purchase.

- A part of the shipping price includes recycling taxes and packaging material.
Everything is packaged safely sometimes using recycled materials.

- I can’t predict how long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.

- If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless this is done at delivery time.


RETURNS AND REFUNDS

- If there is anything you are unsure about or if you need further information about an item to re-assure you please ask before buying. I aim to provide as much information as possible and make my listings as accurate as I can.

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
If a returned item is received damaged the loss in value will be deducted.

- Refunds will be issued when I get the item back.
