Unusual tramp art crucifix. The second one partly visible in the first picture is sold separately.
Bought in Belgium.
The round shapes forming the cross are made of thin wood sheets and paper. The forms are attached to a wooden cross at the back.
It is a very delicate object and has some imperfections from age, use and prolonged storage.
The paper is gone in places. It is the paper that seems to keep the wood in place so many parts are getting detached and some gaps are visible.
The paper is not always flat, has scratches and stains. The colour is not even.
The crucifix was exposed to dust for a very long time. When I bought it, it was completely covered in dust. I did clean it but some dust is incrusted in the paper especially at the top of the circular shapes and in the gaps. The colour has changed there.
The figure of Christ is in gold painted metal. It has been nailed to the cross along with the INRI sign.
The nails have made some large holes and it looks like they don't hold the Corpus Christi in place.
I think a previous owner has glued the figure at the top. The nail at the bottom is useless and doesn't hold the figure at all.
The metal has stains, scratches and the gold is worn in places.
There is a loop at the back to hang on the wall. Stains, wear and paper getting detached at the back.

The round shapes forming the cross are approx. 3.6 cm / 1.41 inches thick.

Parcels will require a signature at the time of delivery.

Everything is packaged safely sometimes using recycled materials.
- I can’t predict how long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.
- If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless this is done at delivery time.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
If a returned item is received damaged the loss in value will be deducted.
