Rare French antique set of 6 buttons for a psychitaric hospital staff uniform.
They are all marked in French 'Asile clinique'.
I have 2 other sets available in my shop.
The buttons have a diameter of 1.7 cm / 0.39 inches.
They are marked 'Louis Jeance Paris' at the back.
In French asylums, the nurses' overcoats were abandonned in the very early 20th century and replaced by jackets with removable buttons.
The buttons all have marks of use and age: stains, scratches, tarnish, small dents, wear.
The colour is not even anymore and they have a lovely time patina.
One loop at the back has corrosion spots but can still be used.
These buttons are really rare.
The pictures are part of the description.
