He is holding a cross and looking up.
His face is painted and beautifully detailed.
 
Gold painted details such as stars and lines. 
His name in French is painted on the base in gold letters. 
The gold has faded in places.
 
Some fine lines / cracks are visible when looking closely (as seen in the second to last photograph for instance).
Small imperfections and marks to the porcelain.
