Beautiful portraits of Jesus with his crown of thorns and Mary on Limoges porcelain plaques.
They are in matching gold painted wooden frames.
The faces are nicely detailled using a 'paste on paste' technique.
Artist signature at the bottom of each plaque: 'M Chaufriasse' and 'Limoges'. The writings are more visible on the Jesus' portrait and the signatures are slightly different.
Work by this artist is very sought after and sells regularly at auction houses.
There are some imperfections of the porcelain on both portraits.
The blue backgrounds have irregularities (raised parts) and the colour is not even. The plaque with Mary especially has light white marks on the blue.
There is a small crack visible on the crown of thorns and tiny chips.
Mary has small chips and worn parts as seen in the photographs.
Tiny black dots on both portraits but they are not very visible. This is common on old porcelain pieces.
The gold painted wood frames also have some imperfections: stains, small chips, worn parts and scratches. Traces of red paint in the gold.
The frame for Mary's portrait has more damages and some big pieces are missing. These parts were repainted with a slightly different gold.
Both frames are very worn in the middle. Prolonged exposure to dust has damaged the surface of the paint. Some dust is still visible. 
Damages at the corners visible on the sides.
The paper at the back of the frames has tears and stains. Two loops and thread to display on the wall.
I suppose the plaques could be removed from the frames. Mary seems to be held only by rusty nails that have gone through the paper backing. I can't see or feel any nails on the Jesus' portrait though.
There might be some wear and marks caused by the frames on the front of the porcelain plaques.
Size of frame (not including loops): approx. 21.5 x 17.4 x 2.6 cm / 8.26 x 6.69 x 0.78 inches 
Size frame opening: approx. 13.8 x 9.8 cm / 5.11 x 3.54 inches
Total weight: 895 grams.

DELIVERIES

- Import taxes and duty are the buyer's responsibility.
'Sales tax' is for US customers only.

- For US CUSTOMERS: the new tariff is added at the checkout under the name 'Sales tax'. IF YOU ARE BUYING AS A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION, MESSAGE ME AS YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE TO PAY IT.
Everything will be shipped with an invoice and the proper HS custom number but I can't guarantee US customs won't change the tariff.

- I aim to post everything in 3 working days. Everything is sent with a tracking number.
Parcels will require a signature at the time of delivery.

- I will only ship to the address provided during checkout. I won't post to an address sent in a separate message after a purchase.

- A part of the shipping price includes recycling taxes and packaging material.
Everything is packaged safely sometimes using recycled materials.

- I can’t predict how long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.

- If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless this is done at delivery time.


RETURNS AND REFUNDS

- If there is anything you are unsure about or if you need further information about an item to re-assure you please ask before buying. I aim to provide as much information as possible and make my listings as accurate as I can.

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
If a returned item is received damaged the loss in value will be deducted.

- Refunds will be issued when I get the item back.
