Beautiful and large porcelain crucifix marked 'Sarreguemines France' at the back.
Cream shade.
On the Sarreguemines museum website, I found that this model was produced between the 1920s and 1940s. I couldn't find any other example of this crucifix. The Sarreguemines stamp at the back was apparently used between 1920 and 1950.
At the back, there are also the initials BG and the number 5390.
Small marks, yellow discolouration in places and stains.
Small imperfections such as worn parts or tiny chip but nothing too serious.
Crackeling that gives a great look to this crucifix.
Hollow but still fairly heavy (900 grams).
There are two holes and a string at the top to attach to the wall. The small piece of string will need to be replaced as it is too worn and risks breaking with the weight.
