Very impressive black forest wood altar crucifix. 
The Arma Christi or instruments of Passion are all represented. The cross, crown of thorns, spear, lance, ladder, etc are all beautifully carved. The hammer and the pincers are at the foot of the cross.
Early 20th century.
Tinted and varnished wood. The colour is not uniform.
There are some small imperfections and the dust has damaged the varnish in small places. It was probably on display for a long time. 
Three pin holes on the cross (two just above the crown and one towards the top).
It weighs 2 kilograms and feels really solid.

It is really a stunning piece you don't see very often!
