Beautiful metal statue of St Anthony of Padua with infant Jesus standing on the book and holding a globe. Jesus is touching Anthony's face with a hand.
The statue is screwed to a stone / marble base.
Some parts are painted gold but the colour has gone in places. It looks like the rest of the statue was in a different colour. Or maybe it was all gold  but it is odd that the hood is still so vivid when the gold is gone from the rest of the robe...
The metal has darkened in places. There are also white marks  and slight surface damage in some folds of Anthony's robe.
Some scratches and surface imperfections to the metal.
Marked in French 'St Antoine de Padoue'. Initials AF at the back.
The base has some stains, large scratches and white discolouration in places. 
The screw and bolt have rusted. 
The base is not flat or smooth underneath as it seems to have been detached from a larger piece.
The statue moves if turned. This must have happened before as there are marks on the base around the statue.
Late 19th / Early 20th Century.
This is a beautiful piece that is quite different from the St Anthony I usually find as Jesus is standing and touching his face.

Size of the stone base: 9 x 9 cm / 3.54 x 3.54 inches
Weighs just over 1 kilogram.
