French antique Sacred Heart of Jesus painted plaster statue. 
Marked DSR at the back of the base.
A previous owner seems to have retouched the paint. It is most visible on the face as it wasn't done perfectly (eyes, eyebrows and beard). There are retouches at his feet as well.
The colours of his robe are quite muted (pink and beige) but the Heart is very bright red. It gives a beautiful effect. Gold painted details.
One large piece is missing at one corner of the base adn it was painted black. 
Several small chips, scratches and marks. 
The colours are uneven and have faded or discoloured with time. The paint is gone in small places.
A beautiful piece patinated by time.
