Beautiful antique crown of thorns made with dark pink or red rhinestones and metal.
It is not complete as it was originally attached to a small light holder and pole so it could be used for processions.
The rhinestones appear dark pink in certain lights, red in others. I have tried to take some pictures in different condition so you can see the difference in shade.
Heavy signs of age and use.
Some imperfections, stains and scratches are visible on the metal and rhinestones. Some stones are dirty and move in their settings. Two are missing.
The gilt on the metal is almost completely gone and the metal is corroded in places (small green and white marks visible).
There is one part broken in the crown.
The part where the light holder was attached is visible at the back (one broken part in a thicker piece of metal).
Small damages all around on the metal. It has darkened in places.
The crown is not completely flat as the metal is a bit distorted.
This crown is rare and stunning but it will need a bit of care.
