Beautiful crucifix made of ebonized wood and carved animal bone in the style commonly called 'Jansenist'. This one is very unusual but very worn and damaged.
The Corpus Christi is very detailed but has its arms missing (nails are visible).
The crossed bones are represented at the bottom.
There are five bone squares on the cross. They have circular shapes carved. There are not all the same. I have never come across something like that. Some nails hold the squares in place. 
Small parts seem to be missing from the circular shapes (3 are still visible as they are held with nails). 
The nails are rusty. One square has lost its nails so must have been glued by a previous owner.
One nail is missing in Jesus' foot and one nail is visible between his thighs.
The nails are sometimes sticking out at the back.
The bone has naturally discoloured and has stains. There are also chips and irregularities as it was hand carved.
There are some scuffing, stains, tiny holes, chips and wear to the wood.
Decorative lines made with bone on the cross. Many parts are missing and the remaining ones are not well attached.
Please note, this crucifix is home made and none of the angles are perfect. 
The cross was originally inserted in a base judging by the shape and damage at the bottom.
This is a beautiful and unusual piece that could be placed in a frame as it is or restored.

Everything will be shipped with an invoice and the proper HS custom number but I can't guarantee US customs won't change the tariff.

- I aim to post everything in 3 working days. Everything is sent with a tracking number.
Parcels will require a signature at the time of delivery.

- I will only ship to the address provided during checkout. I won't post to an address sent in a separate message after a purchase.

- A part of the shipping price includes recycling taxes and packaging material.
Everything is packaged safely sometimes using recycled materials.

- I can’t predict how long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.

- If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless this is done at delivery time.


RETURNS AND REFUNDS

- If there is anything you are unsure about or if you need further information about an item to re-assure you please ask before buying. I aim to provide as much information as possible and make my listings as accurate as I can.

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
If a returned item is received damaged the loss in value will be deducted.

- Refunds will be issued when I get the item back.
