This is a beautiful book I had never seen before. It is a family memorial book that gathers approximately 50 funeral cards from a French family dating from 1859 to 1885.
There are the initials of the owner of the book embossed on the leather cover: D. de. G. and her name is stamped inside. She was the descendant of an aristocratic family and there are many titles found on the cards: marquis, countess, counts or dukes.
Two family members became nuns.
The cards are attached so both sides are visible.
After the first part with the memorial cards, there is a printed text for mass. The text is in French but the psalms are in Latin too. The text is not complete.
The book has a third part made of blank pages for notes. Some are covered with handwritten prayers and religious texts, many are left blank.
This is a fantastic and unique record of a family history!
The book has some imperfections and has been very heavily manipulated.
The cover is worn, scratched and the spine is broken in places. The leather is missing at some edges and corners.
Foxing, marks, creases and folds on the pages. There are some small tears too.
The papaer has become yellow with age.
Some cards are getting unstuck.

Everything will be shipped with an invoice and the proper HS custom number but I can't guarantee US customs won't change the tariff.

- I aim to post everything in 3 working days. Everything is sent with a tracking number.
Parcels will require a signature at the time of delivery.

- I will only ship to the address provided during checkout. I won't post to an address sent in a separate message after a purchase.

- A part of the shipping price includes recycling taxes and packaging material.
Everything is packaged safely sometimes using recycled materials.

- I can’t predict how long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.

- If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless this is done at delivery time.


RETURNS AND REFUNDS

- If there is anything you are unsure about or if you need further information about an item to re-assure you please ask before buying. I aim to provide as much information as possible and make my listings as accurate as I can.

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
If a returned item is received damaged the loss in value will be deducted.

- Refunds will be issued when I get the item back.
