Antique book vespers book in French and Latin:
'Nouvelles étrennes spirituelles contenant les vèpres de toute l'année et les messes des principales fêtes, en Latin et en Français, à l'usage de Paris et de Rome; ornées de figures et augmentées de prières et de méditations chrétiennes.'
It roughly translates as 'New spiritual gifts containing the vespers of the whole year and the masses of the principal feasts, in Latin and in French, for the use of Paris and Rome; decorated with figures and augmented with prayers and Christian meditations.'

The inside calendar starts in 1825.
Some texts are in French only but the majority are in French and Latin. There is even a prayer for the King.
Four beautiful engravings.

The leather cover is very worn and damaged as seen in the photographs. The leather at the corners is completely worn so the card underneath is visible (the card is worn too).
The name of a previous owner is written inside.
The marbled papers are stained. The gold of the paperblock is worn.
A small piece of paper with a Latin text handwritten was left inside by a previous owner.
The pages are in fairly good condition for their age. Some creases or marks are sometimes visible. Light discolouration on certain pages.

DELIVERIES

- Import taxes and duty are the buyer's responsibility.
'Sales tax' is for US customers only.

- For US CUSTOMERS: the new tariff is added at the checkout under the name 'Sales tax'. IF YOU ARE BUYING AS A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION, MESSAGE ME AS YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE TO PAY IT.
Everything will be shipped with an invoice and the proper HS custom number but I can't guarantee US customs won't change the tariff.

- I aim to post everything in 3 working days. Everything is sent with a tracking number.
Parcels will require a signature at the time of delivery.

- I will only ship to the address provided during checkout. I won't post to an address sent in a separate message after a purchase.

- A part of the shipping price includes recycling taxes and packaging material.
Everything is packaged safely sometimes using recycled materials.

- I can’t predict how long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.

- If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless this is done at delivery time.


RETURNS AND REFUNDS

- If there is anything you are unsure about or if you need further information about an item to re-assure you please ask before buying. I aim to provide as much information as possible and make my listings as accurate as I can.

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
If a returned item is received damaged the loss in value will be deducted.

- Refunds will be issued when I get the item back.
