Lovely figurine of a little girl in her fisrt Holy communion outfit.
It was used as a box for 'dragées' (almonds covered with sugar that were offered at christenings, first Holy communions or weddings).

The face and hands are made of painted wax.
The alb is made of cotton.
The box gives shape to the alb.
A pin is used at the top to attach the material to the neck. A pin is missing on one side. The head moves.
Two small pins on the head suggest a veil is missing.

Some small stains and imperfections commensurate with age. Discolouration.
Beautiful and very delicate! Early 1900s.

Height approx. 19.5 cm / 7.48 inches .
