Antique Saint Catherine Labouré relics - 2nd and 3rd class relics. Sister Catherine Labouré was a member of the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul and had some apparitions from the Virgin Mary in the chapel of her convent in Paris. That led her to create the Miraculous Medal.

Paper envelope with handwritten note in French on the front:
'fleurs touchée à la Soeur Catherine Labourée
flanelle portée par elle
filet P marque d'un de ses bas
boutons pris dans sa boîte à ouvrage touché par elle donnée par une soeur de la maison'
That translates as :
'flowers touched by Sister Catherine Labourée
flannel worn by her
P mark of one of her stockings
buttons taken from her sewing box touched by her given by a sister of the house'
There is no punction. The note mentions 'buttons' but there is only one in the envelope. It also says 'Labourée' when the spelling is 'Labouré' so 'buttons' might have a typo.

The envelope contains:
- A card in French with a printed text title 'Bracelet of the Immaculate Conception'. There is a piece of fabric glued to the card and a handwritten text explaining it was a piece of fabric worn by Catherine Labouré when she saw the Virgin Mary in 1830.
- Fabric flowers (some broken) touched by the Saint
- A small piece of cotton with an embroidered P in red thread. That comes from one of her stockings
- A button that is supposed to come from her sewing box
- A prayer card for her funeral. There is an image of her after her passing. It says she died in Enghien on the 31st December 1876 when she was 71. The back is a text on the Miraculous Medal and how to use it.
According to the text on the envelope, these pieces were given by a Sister from the same convent as Catherine Labouré.

There are imperfections from age and use. The paper has some small damages, creases and is discoloured. The ink writing has faded.
The flowers have been damaged. The rest has colour fade, discolouration, small stains or imperfections.
This is a fantastic piece of history but there is no seal or guarantee it is all real. It was bought with several other relics from a collector.
Size of envelope: 10.5 x 8.1 cm / 3.93 x 3.14 inches

The pictures are part of the description.
