Rare antique pair of paper frames with religious cards. One is depicting  Mary and  the other the Infant Jesus.
The texts on the cards are in French.
The frames are made with layers of paper stitched together with yellow thread. 
They are beautiful but delicate and worn. There are some small damages at the front, small tears and folds.
They are meant to stand but one is too damaged at the back. A piece of card would need to be added to reinforce the stand.
The religious cards are in good conditon with only some small imperfections. 
They can be removed by the opening at the top of the frames.
The paper was probably black originally but the colour has faded.
A very lovely and unusual pair!

Size opening: 7.8 x 3.7 cm / 2.75 x 1.18 inches (measured from one point to the other)
