Large antique religious painting mounted as a banner.
The painting depicts the Immaculate Heart of Mary and is on canvas.
It wasn't a banner originally. It looks like the painting was detached from its frame judging by the irregular edges and the small damages on the sides. Satin ribbon loops were nailed to a wooden bar and the canvas at the top. The wide ribbon pieces and silver nails are very modern. A thin gold metal pole was inserted in the loops. A long string with a tassel at each end is attached to the pole so the banner can be displayed on the wall or a procession pole.
The painting could be remounted on a frame with the right skills and tools.
The details of Mary's face and her robe are beautiful.
There are imperfections from age, use and prolonged storage.
Some paint is missing or flaking in large places. 
The canvas has become see-through in small places as can be seen in the last photograph taken in front of a window.
There are some creases too. 
Wear, stains and tears at the edges visible at the back.
It is a stunning and very unique piece that would look fantastic in a small chapel or home altar!

DELIVERIES

- Import taxes and duty are the buyer's responsibility.
'Sales tax' is for US customers only.

- For US CUSTOMERS: the new tariff is added at the checkout under the name 'Sales tax'. IF YOU ARE BUYING AS A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION, MESSAGE ME AS YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE TO PAY IT.
Everything will be shipped with an invoice and the proper HS custom number but I can't guarantee US customs won't change the tariff.

- I aim to post everything in 3 working days. Everything is sent with a tracking number.
Parcels will require a signature at the time of delivery.

- I will only ship to the address provided during checkout. I won't post to an address sent in a separate message after a purchase.

- A part of the shipping price includes recycling taxes and packaging material.
Everything is packaged safely sometimes using recycled materials.

- I can’t predict how long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.

- If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless this is done at delivery time.


RETURNS AND REFUNDS

- If there is anything you are unsure about or if you need further information about an item to re-assure you please ask before buying. I aim to provide as much information as possible and make my listings as accurate as I can.

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
If a returned item is received damaged the loss in value will be deducted.

- Refunds will be issued when I get the item back.
