Antique gold lame dalmatic. It is beautiful but it has been heavily used and is very worn and stained.
Late 19th century.
The gold material is damaged as seen in the photographs and the video.
It is very worn and the metallic threads have breaks and are missing in large places.
There are some large repairs, creases, tears and holes.
There are large stains and discolouration too. It looks like some of them were caused by a liquid.
Ties at the shoulders and under the arms. They are quite fragile and at least one is almost completely torn.
Very used and damaged at the folds of the sleeves.
The pale gold trim has discoloured and is stained because of use, especially at the collar.
Some fraying visible at the edges, near the tears or where the metallic thread is gone.
The lining is in good condition with only small stains at the sleeves and slight fading or discolouration at the edges.
This piece is too fragile and used to wear. It is for a collector, a restorer or someone who wants to use the material for a project.
