Beautiful cabinet with a miniature Holy water font dedicated to Our Lady.
It seems to be a home made altar decorated with shells, ribbons and flowers. 
It could be an unusual version of a wedding globe or a communion souvenir.
Opens from the top. Two holes indicate something is missing.
Leather loop at back to hang on the wall but it seems a bit too old to be safe!

Marks and imperfections commensurate with age and use. Insect holes and damage but the insects are long gone.
