Antique French Our Lady of sorrows depiction.
Meerschaum or calcareous stone in oval black painted wood frame with domed glass.
The depiction of Mary is beautiful. She has two tears under each eye. Her Heart is pierced by two daggers.
Important scratches and chips to the wood. Some small holes too. The frame is very worn.
Paper backing was damaged and replaced so some dust is visible inside. There are also marks inside the glass. 
Small stains on the glass.
One loop at the back so it can be hung on the wall.
The sculpted part is thicker than the frame so it is not flat at the back. The paper is getting unstuck in places.
