Antique French mourning round frame with a hand holding a flower bouquet.
Early 20th Century.
'Souvenir' is painted at the reverse of the glass. A black and white border is also painted.
The frame is approx. 2.7 cm / 1.06 inches thick. It is made with a gold metal sheet and a silver reflective surface. The silver is very damaged and the surface has become grainy and white with time.
The flowers still have vivid colours and are probably made of plastic. 
The leaves are made of fabric and are stained and faded.
There are no cracks to the glass I can see and it sits firmly within its metal frame. 
Small marks, stains and imperfections on the glass. Some dust / tiny white particles visible behind the glass.
The metal used for the frame is very scratched, stained and dented.
Number hand written at the back.
There is a small loop at the top so it can be hung on the wall.
Diameter 16.2 cm / 6.37 inches without the loop.
Weight 295 grams.
This is a beautiful and unusual piece with a nice patina!
