Beautiful medallion with a reverse painting on an albaster plaque with a porcelain Holy water font. 
The alabaster is attached with just one small piece of metal and string to a plaque covered with blue velvet. The alabaster font moves easily as seen in the photographs.
The painting is a portrait of a young man with a blue robe holding a book. It is probably a Saint but there is no indication and not enough attributes to be sure of his identity.
 
Small chips, rust marks, stains and discolouration on alabaster and porcelain. 
Scratches and one very fine crack are visible on the alabaster.
The painting is in good condition.
The blue velvet is slightly discoloured.
The material at the back is getting unstuck in places.
Could be hung on the wall with the string loop at the back.

Size alabster plaque: approx. 11.2 x 6.6 cm / 4.33 x 2.36 inches
