Beautiful antique mirror that was at some point in a French wedding globe. It has many imperfections as it seems to have been used outside the globe for a long time.
Beveled mirrors and ormolu decorations all around the central oval mirror.
The dove with the laurel wreath brings peace and harmony to the home.
The oval frame is distorted and the edges of the mirror are sometimes visible. The glass has scratches, light stains and marks.
The small side mirrors are damaged as the reflective part is gone in places. It is very important especially on two mirrors but all of them have faults. Some small pieces could fall during transport.
Distortion to the metal but most things can be bent back in place.
Some small corrosion marks and colour fade. The shine of the metal is gone in places as it seems to have been exposed to dust for a long time.
Some decoration were broken and are missing.
It is supposed to be a standing mirror but the system is not perfect as the decorations at the front have to be bent for the mirror to be displayed properly. I think that system was done by a previous owner.
Some pieces of elastic (?) still attached at the back. I have left them as I don't want to risk damaging the reflective parts more.
Loop at the back made with wire so it could be hung on the wall.
