French-made antique Virgin Mary bisque / biscuit porcelain statue.
Marked 'Immaculée conception' and 'Rome 8 décembre 1854'. The Virgin of December celebrates the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is universally celebrated on December 8, nine months before the feast of the Nativity of Mary.
There are some small cracks and stains. One hand is broken as can be seen in the photographs.
