Beautiful Our Lady of Pontmain plaster marked Friteau Folie  at the back of the base (not completely readable). Late 19th century.
She wears a blue robe with golden stars and carries a red cross.
The writings at the front of the base says in French:  "Mais priez mes enfants, Dieu vous exaucera en peu de temps. Mon fils se laisse toucher" (But pray, my children, God will hear you in no time. My son lets himself be touched).
Chips, paint flaking and stains as can be seen in the photographs. The blue of her robe has faded.
The gold of the stars and crown has almost completly corroded to green.
Incrusted dust. I have cleaned her but she is so delicate, I didn't want to brush too hard.
