Our Lady of Pontmain small plaster figurine.
She wears a blue robe with golden stars and carries a red cross.
The text in French on the banner at her feet says 'Mon Fils se laisse toucher' which translates as 'My Son allows Himself to be touched'.
Pontmain and the date '17 janvier 1871' are written on the base. The date is barely visible.
She has imperfections as seen in the photographs.
There are small chips (nose, hand or base for instance) and the paint is gone in small places.
The headpiece has a larger chip.
I think the figurine was badly stored for a while so the blue and black have faded in large places. The colours are not even. The layer of paint was damaged by prolonged exposure to dust.
Height: 14.7 cm / 5.51 inches.
The pictures are part of the description.
