Complete antique card set of the 14 stations of the Cross. Published by 'Chocolaterie d'Aiguebelle' in the early 20th century. This chocolate factory was founded by the monks of Aiguebelle in the South of France in 1869.
They produced many images, chromo and advertisings  at the beginning of the 20th century. There were even albums produced for some collections and booklets. The company still exists.
This series of 14 images is quite rare as it is complete!
The front of each card has an illustration of a station of the cross starting with Jesus being condemned.
The back has an explanation in French.
The cards were apparently stuck in an album as there are pieces of paper attached at the back and small damages caused by the glue. Some texts are missing as seen in the photographs.
The illustrated sides have some stains and creases. Small damages around some cards. Slight discolouration, fade and bent corners.
Some cards are not completely flat.
Size of each card is 12 x 7.8 cm / 4.72 x 2.75 inches
