Unusual French antique cabinet with wedding flowers, a porcelain figurine of the Virgin Mary and a plait made of human hair (dark blond).
The figurine is held in place with 2 nails at the bottom (it moved slightly so the nails are visible) and blue thread.
The wedding crown is made of wax orange blossoms and flowers. Some blossoms have fallen at the bottom.
The wooden case is nailed at the back so it looks like it would be impossible to open without damaging it. It has been varnished but with age the surface has acquired a texture.
Beautiful blue paper covering the inside. Some stains on the sides.
Imperfections and normal signs of age and wear as can be see in the photographs.
It is a stunning and unusual memento!
