Usually called a Passion Bottle or Calvary Bottle this is a folk art depiction of the crucifixion which took someone, usually a sailor, time and patience to complete!
It shows the Instruments of Passion, the tools that can be used to defeat Satan.
We can see the Crucifix, the Ladder, Spear of Destiny, etc.... There is Mary and Mary Magdalen at the feet of the cross (although they are represented in the exact same way).

Carved and painted wood, thin metal and fake moss.

As is frequent with those bottles, some objects went loose. This is the case of a Mary at the bottom of the cross.
One part of the sunburst has fallen and is now stuck at the back.
Jesus has one arm broken.

The glass has natural flaws and is very thick.
The cork is still firm and we have made no attempt to remove it.
