Beautiful and large meerschaum representing the nativity scene. It is very detailled.
It is signed but I can't read everything (see last photograph).
It is attached to a black wooden plaque.  At the bottom is a shell for Holy water.
 
The wood has small chips, marks, insect holes and scratches. The varnish is gone around the meerschaum especially.
The meerschaum has some marks and some dust in incrusted in the small gaps. I have cleaned it but I don't want to damage it.
Sadly, a cherub at the top has lost its head. There is also a chip just under Joseph.
A very fine line on a cherub that is holding the shell and one fine crack behind Jesus.
There are some other small imperfections but they are hard to spot as the scene is so detailed.
Loop at the back so it can be hung immediately.
