Beautiful crucifix made in wood and carved mother of pearl. This type of crosses usually comes from the Holy Land but there are no indication that this one does.
The Corpus Christi is carved in mother of pearl.
The Virgin Mary is seen at the foot of the cross. The four Evangelists are represented at each end with a book.
The stations numbers are painted in black on the cross with a small hole in the middle. Some stations are behind the Corpus Christi.
Three little balls at the ends of the cross are made of animal bone.
Imperfections commensurate with age and use such as stains, chips and scratches. 
Small black traces of dust in gaps and folds.
The paint has faded in small places. The mother of pearl is gone in places on the sides and at the bottom of the cross. There is a hole inside the wood and small damages at the bottom. 
One hole at each corner where the two bars of the cross meet indicate small decorations are missing.
No loop to hang.
Stained wood at the back.
Late 1800s.
