A French black cotton biaude chemise smock dating from the early 1900s. Made of linen with pleating around the neck and at the chest closure. Button closure at the front with hook and eye at the collar. Additional vertical pockets one each breast. "Hole " pockets to the side at the hip. Roundneck, with no collar. Button cuffs. No major signs of wear or damage. The item has been steamed but not laundered.
