A French indigo blue cotton biaude smock dating from the early 1900s. Made of linen with pleating around the neck and at the chest closure. Button closure at the front with hook and eye at the collar. Additional vertical pockets one each breast. "Hole " pockets to the side at the hip. Button cuffs which are a darker shade of blue.

The dye has some variations in tone from age and light sun fading. Embroidered repair to the back of the collar, elbow a couple of areas on the back as shown in the photos. There are some occasional pulls to the linen. No major signs of wear or damage.

armpit to armpit 33.5" 85 cm
across the shoulders 25" 64cm
shoulder to cuff 22" 55cm
length down the back 41" 105cm
