Beautiful French antique holy water font made of Paris porcelain in the late 1800s. It was meant to be placed on a bedside table or to travel with. A good alternative to the more common wall-mounted fonts in a home.
Originally decorated in gold which has slightly faded, please look carefully at the picture! Traces of red are also visible. The statue of the Virgin Mary is also glazed.
This little font would make a perfect first communion gift but is also a highly collectable antique in its own right!
Height 3.7”, 9.5cm
Width at Base 1.4"/ 3.5cm
