Sculpture of Capuchin nun Saint Veronica Giuliani, also called Veronica de Julianis by French sculpture manufacturer Laugier.
The sculpture shows Veronica with crown of thorns and hand on a sacred heart and holding a crucifix. Stigmata are visible to hands and feet. Veronica had a lifelong devotion to Christ crucified that eventually became manifested in physical signs, notably stigmata to hands, feet and forehead. After Veronica's death, a figure of the Cross was found impressed upon her heart, and her body has been noted as being incorrupt.
The surface of the plaster has some scratches and chips visibly on the drapes of the clothing and Veronica's face.
