Large antique St Joseph and Infant Jesus polychrome plaster statue.
Joseph is holding the Infant Jesus with both hands. He has lilies under one arm.
The faces are beautifully detailed.
There are some imperfections: small holes, large chips, scratches and stains. The face of sleeping Jesus has one big scratch.
The colours have faded and lost their shine. The paint is gone in some places.
Large stains and discolouration.
I have cleaned the statue but some dust is too encrusted.
The base was broken. A part is missing as you can see in the photographs. The base is hollow and the bottom part is cracked and moving.There is a signature at the back but I can't read it as the base is very worn and lost its paint.
A large and beautiful patinated piece!
