Antique plaster statue of Our Lady of Lourdes marked 'Editeur Giovannetti' at the back and 'ND Lourdes' at the front (ND stands for Notre Dame / Our Lady).
Giovannetti was of Italian origin and started his business in Tours (France) in 1874. It later became 'Giovannetti Aîné et Pieraccini' (1878) and 'Pieraccini' in 1882. The business was bought by Bacci in 1937.
The white plaster has discoloured to a yellowish tint in places.
Stains and marks commensurate with age and use.
The blue paint of the belt is flaking. Some chips as can be seen in the photographs (nose, base and robe) but some truly beautiful details.
