Rare Holy water font depicting Jesus with sunburst behind. 
Made of fully glazed porcelain with  hand painted color details and gold stars.
Made by David Johnston, the famous Irish ceramist in Bordeaux.
Dates from the mid 19th Century. Johnston ceased production in 1845 after being taken over by Vieillard.
The colors are still vivid but some of the gold stars have faded. The painting is not perfect.
There are small patches where the glaze has chipped especially at the edges of the font and on Jesus' nose.
Several small chips at the back.
There is a string loop at the back so it can be wall-hung.
