French antique Holy water flask from a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France.
This tin canister would have been used to collect holy water from the spring at the grotto.
It comes from the famous Lourdes shop 'La palais du rosaire'.

It's beautifully decorated with lithographed pictures of the Lourdes basilica and the appartion of the Virgin Mary to Bernadette Soubirou.
Screw top and a lid.
Cloth shoulder strap with two rings. One ring came off one side so the previous owner attached it to the other one.

Has some clear signs of use and age which give it a beautiful patina: wear, scratches, small corrosion spots and large dents as seen in the photographs.
Staining on one side.

Seems to still be water tight but I can't garantee how long it will be considering the small damages.

Size without handle and lid: 17.1 x 19.5 x 7.5 cm or 6.69 x 7.48 x 2.75 inches

The pictures are part of the description.

Import duties and taxes are the buyer's responsibility.
