French antique mourning stationery lot.
One box marked 'Papeterie Deuil' and one large envelope marked 'Toile Bretonne'.
Sold together.

Both sets contain writing paper and envelopes. Paper has discoloured to off-white. Some imperfections such as tiny tears, stains and folds are to be expected.

Box 'Papeterie de deuil':
- 19 envelopes, lined with black paper.
The envelopes are closed and stuck down as they have been in storage for a long time.
One has 2 small tears.
12. x 9.5 cm / 4.72 x 3.54 inches

- 19 sheet of paper folded in two.
Small brown spots on some pages and envelopes.
17.5 x 11.3 cm / 6.69 x 4.33 inches

The box has small stains and 2 corners are broken.
Size: 20 x 13 cm / 7.87 x 5.11 inches

Envelope 'Toile Bretonne':
- 4 pages folded in two. Very discoloured (not always evenly).
Texture to imitate fabric.
18.3 x 13.8 cm / 7.08 x 5.11 inches

- 4 envelopes with the same texture. Lined with black paper.
14.6 x 9.4 cm / 5.5 x 3.54 inches

- 19 pages folded in 2. Small stains on some pages.
17.7 x 11.3 cm / 6.69 x 4.33 inches

- 2 very small paper envelopes. Business card size. 10.6 x 6.5 cm / 3.93 x 2.36 inches
Very stained and unlined.
I have left them as they have a printer's name and address embossed: Imp. St Aubin, 15 passage Verdeau, Paris.

The envelope is almost completely torn and was repaired multiple times with tape. The typography is beautiful though and could be used for a project.
