Antique priest surplice with embroidered tulle. The tulle is very fine and is embelished with flowers, grapes and vine leaves. There are also the Initial M for Mary and the chalice and Host that are represented several times.
 
The top part is in cotton batiste.
Monogram F C and a cross embroidered in white inside the collar.
The collar was very worn (visible at the edges) and was reinforced with white cotton. A red cross that was embroidered there originally is still slightly visible.
Lovely floral decor at the shoulders and collar.
Repairs at the armpits and front opening (bottom).
Small imperfections  such as tiny marks and small holes, especially at the back of the neck. 
 
There are several small holes and some repairs in the tulle part.
The tulle was very worn and repaired on both sides. That seems to have been caused by the arm mouvements.
The tulle on the cuffs is very worn and has been repaired in large places. There are loose threads, holes and several rust stains visible.
 
Beautiful piece that could still be used today with caution as the material is really fine.
