Antique St Eligius ( Saint Eloi in French) plaster statue.
He is the patron Saint of goldsmiths and metal workers.
He is represented dressed as a bishop with a hammer and anvil at his feet.
Model number 272 at the back of the base.

One of his hands is missing as seen in the photographs. It is not broken though and there is a hole and paint inside.
Imperfections commensurate with age and bad storage by a previous owner: chips, wear, encrusted dust, stains and discolouration.
There is a hole at the junction of the anvil and his robe. It is hollow.
