Processional cross with hook to hold the banner.
At the top is a Patriarchal or archiepiscopal cross with two bars. This screws into a decorative base which has a large hook for holding a procession banner. Below this is a shaft which can then slide onto the top of a pole.
Gold painted metal. The colour is gone in places and there are other imperfections as can be seen in the photographs (dents, corrosion spots and various marks). It has been used a lot but it still a stunning piece! The metal is very dense, especially the decorated base.
The cross can be unscrewed from the decorative bottom part.
