Antique Our Lady of la Salette polychrome plaster statue. 
It depicts the apparition of Mary to two children in 1846 in La Salette-Fallavaux, France. 
Stamp 'Made in France' at the back of Mary's robe.
The statue was painted and varnished but, as can be seen in the photographs, the paint is flaking in many places. 
The painting and varnish were maybe done by a previous owner as they are not perfect. The colours are not even. They have faded and discoloured.
Some imperfections in the plaster and paint.  
The neck of the boy might have been broken and repaired as I can see small traces.
Marks and small chips. 
Traces of writing on the base and black paint missing in places.
Still a beautiful object that I don't find very often!
