Antique Little Jesus of St Therese of Lisieux polychrome terracotta statue. 
First half of the 20th century.
Therese wrote of her arrival in the Carmel of Lisieux: 'The first thing I saw under the cloister was "my little pink Jesus" smiling at me amidst the flowers and lights'.
She says 'my' because she was the one in charge of cleaning the statue and arranging flowers around it.
His smile is very faint on this statue.
It has imperfections from age and use. There are stains, scratches and small chips in the paint. 
The colours are still beautiful but have faded and are discoloured in places.
The gold of the Heart has run on the pink robe. 
Some dust is still visible in Jesus' hair as the statue must have been on display for a very long time.
There seems to be a small signature inside as seen in the last photograph.
It is quite large and very heavy (almost 2 kilograms) hence the high shipping fees.
