Antique French heart Ex Voto from the 1938 'Congrès Marial de Boulogne'.

The 'congrès marial' took place from 21st to 24th July 1938 in Boulogne sur mer, a small town by the sea in the north of France.

Before the event, a boat travelled along the coast. The faithful deposited golden hearts containing the vow of Louis XIII who had dedicated his crown, his kingdom and his subjects to the Virgin Mary.

The paper with the vow is missing from this heart.

Imperfections due to age and use. The gold colour is gone in places has seen in the photographs. Small scratches but no dent I can see.

Loop at the top.
