Antique French black evening coat.
Early 20th Century. 
From the tailor 'A Saint Jacques' in Lille (North of France) as mentionned on the label inside the collar.
Made of black lace. The weave pattern alternates between a fine tulle and more solid black panels. Decorated with a floral motif throughout.
Fringed with black lace ruffles. Simple standing collar. 
The front has a simple button closure with original black fabric covered button and small hook to close at the neckline. 
Worn over the shoulders with large decorative draped panels falling down the front. Shoulders are slightly puffed for comfort. 
Hand stitched throughout.
This is an antique item so some aging should be expected. A little fraying at ends, some imperfections to the lace. 
The thread used as discoloured to brown in places. There are small repairs.
The thread loops used for closure are very delicate and weak in places.
It is still in beautiful condition for its age and could be worn again!

Length down front from collar 45 inches / 115 cm
Length down back from collar 33 inches  / 84 cm
