Antique black crochet dress and slip / underdress from the 1930s or 1940s.

The crocheted dress part is made of wool according to my tests.
There is a slight stretch to it.

The slip has a silky feel and is probably rayon. It has discoloured / faded to some sort of purple brown in places.
The hem is not done at the bottom but it doesn't fray. It is not a straight line.
The slip is not even in colour as it is more discoloured in some areas than others.
The same material is used on the front, back opening and collar of the crochet dress.
There are some small holes and worn parts in the rayon all over and on both pieces.

Fabric covered buttons down the front and on sleeves. They are worn in places (especially the decorative sleeve buttons).
The buttons on the lower part of the dress are stitched to the loops so they can't be undone.

One hole at the back in the crochet. And one more at each sleeve. They should be fairly easy to fix for a seamstress more experimented than me!

No labels or marked size. Here are the measurements taken laid flat.

- Crochet dress
Shoulders: 32 cm / 12.59"
Armpit to armpit: 38 cm / 14.96"
Total length down the back: 103 cm / 40.55"
Width at bottom: approx. 52 cm / 20.47"
Sleeve, from shoulder: 22 cm / 8.66"
Sleeve opening: 12 cm / 4.72"

- Underdress
Armpit to armpit: 49 cm / 19.29"
Total lenght down the back: appprox. 104 cm / 40.94" (slightly longer than the crochet dress so a proper hem could be done)
Width at bottom: 58 cm / 22.83"
