Beautiful St Joan of Arc painted bisque porcelain figurine that was broken and repaired by a previous owner.
It is an unusual one as it has a shop name and address engraved at the back above the model number: "Mercerie parisienne. 356 Calle Suipacha'. This street is in Buenos Aires and there was really a haberdashery there with this name in the early 20th century. One 'a' looks like a 'u' but '356 Calle Suipucha' doesn't seem to exist.
The statuette was manufactured in France for export.
Joan of Arc is depicted in her armour and is holding a banner.
The banner and her neck were broken and repaired. There are white marks and paint visible all around the breaks. The banner has more paint marks and large stains (large white marks at the back and grey and reddish marks at the front).
There is also a chip on her name on the base. Lines are visible on the sides of the chip.
There is a name written in ink underneath the base. It must be the name of the first owner.
There are several imperfections such as stains, yellow discolouration, colour fade, scratches or small chips. Small silver paint stains in her hair.
Some details are glazed and were painted gold and silver. The colours are gone in places.
Model number 2739 at the back.

- I aim to post everything in 3 working days. Everything is sent with a tracking number.
Parcels will require a signature at the time of delivery.

- I will only ship to the address provided during checkout. I won't post to an address sent in a separate message after a purchase.

- A part of the shipping price includes recycling taxes and packaging material.
Everything is packaged safely sometimes using recycled materials.

- I can’t predict how long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.

- If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless this is done at delivery time.


RETURNS AND REFUNDS

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
If a returned item is received damaged the loss in value will be deducted.
