Antique book in French:
"Exercices de piété pour tous les jours de l'année - Aoust" (Devotional Exercises for Every Day of the Year – August)
The title page is missing. The book therefore begins with a table of contents listing all the "titles contained in this eighth volume" for every day of the month of August.
There is a stamp from the "Conférence de St Vincent de Paul de St Géréon" at the beginning of the book, as well as a name written in ink (the ink has smudged).
Following the table of contents, there is an excerpt from the catalog of books printed in Lyon by the Bruyset brothers, bearing the date 1734. It can be assumed that the book dates from that year.
Given the date and the printer's name, this is almost certainly the devotional exercises by Father Jean Croiset; indeed, his name is mentioned in the catalog excerpt.
This book is the eighth volume in a series.
The leather on the cover and spine is heavily worn, cracked, and dry, as shown in the photos. There are areas of missing leather, stains, and scuffs. The corners are damaged.
The marbled paper is peeling in places, and the colors have faded slightly. There are also some missing sections and stains.
Foxing, stains, and creases appear on some pages.
The pages remain intact, but the binding is fragile; threads are visible, and there are small holes in places.

Parcels will require a signature at the time of delivery.

Everything is packaged safely sometimes using recycled materials.

- I can’t predict how long Customs may hold on to items for inspection.

- If a parcel arrives damaged, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a complaint immediately with the delivery service. Any insurance is void unless this is done at delivery time.


RETURNS AND REFUNDS

- I accept returns only if the buyer contacts me within 2 weeks of delivery. Only the item price can be refunded. Postage costs will not be refunded.
